• So, I'm still waiting for my visa and passport. Yup, I had to cancel my ticket this morning.
  The good news is that I didn't loose all my money - United has give me a $300 credit for a year.
  Somethings's better than nothing, I say.

  I am still waiting though - with baited breath. If I get it tomorrow
  morning, then I'll leave tomorrow evening. I didn't string myself up by
  the hair <oooh.. painful> for nothing.

  The funny thing is the whole process. Apparently, when I mail my
  passport to the Canadian Consulate in NYC, they mail it to India for
  verification! I don't get it. No wonder it takes them 3-4 weeks to send it back to you.
  And here I was - hoping it would only take 2 weeks. ha! What presumption.
