Thats a fairly big idol of "Ravan" - the bad dude who met his timely end when God Ram kicked his ass and sent him packing back to the heavens. So to celebrate this every year idols are made full of fire crackers.... and then set alite to symbolize the win of good over evil. I have made these idols for like 4 years in a row when i was teenager. much fun.
